Do you ever have one of those moments where you wish you could sink into the ground? š±ā
ā
This one happened quite a few years ago, but after The Little Paris Kitchen TV show had aired, I felt I needed to do something a bit different. Iād never worked in a Michelin starred restaurant, so I got in touch with Magnus Nilsson, who was the head chef at FƤviken at the time, and I flew to Sweden from London and rolled up my sleeves to get stuck in.ā
ā
Iāve never in my life felt so nervous.ā
ā
Iād done The One Show live to millions of viewers ā not a problem ā but this was so scary.ā
ā
One night I absolutely ruined one of the appetisers, just completely faffed it up. Magnus looked at me in silence. Then he said: āOK, next course, letās move on.ā And we did.ā
ā
Has your 2022 been Michelin star-worthy so far, or more like a flattened tray of appetisers? Hereās to a better next course as the summer solstice approaches š„ā
