What makes an amazing dinner party?
Naturally I can recommend a recipe or two 😅 but that’s not actually where I’d start.
Food is the thing that brings everyone all together – and THEN the magic happens ✨ Back when I hosted a lot of pop ups, there would often be a special moment where the guests were really relating and interacting, even though they’d been complete strangers only an hour before. That’s why I love food, and why I started cooking.
A few years ago, I read The Art of Gathering by @PriyaParker, and the way she writes about adding meaning and curating events to make them truly memorable resonated so much with me.
The food can even be mediocre, but when people feel that connection it creates something very special and unique.
So my dinner party advice is: don’t spend the whole evening in the kitchen trying to create perfection. Prep in advance or choose something that you can throw together quickly, and then go hang out with your guests.
