Afternoon tea seems so quintessentially British, but all the places I’ve lived have a long tradition of making time for a mid-afternoon sweet treat:
🍰 Eclairs, millefeuille, macarons, pain au chocolat in Paris 🇫🇷
🍰 Tartlets, sponge cakes, fondant fancies, scones in London 🇬🇧
🍰 Strudel, gateau, Sachertorte in Bavaria 🇩🇪 or Austria 🇦🇹
🍰 Prinsesstårta, cardamom biscuits, cinnamon buns in Sweden 🇸🇪
Of course, most places would be serving coffee alongside all this deliciousness… but my British roots always show through when I ask for a cup of tea ☕️
