My Swedish Kitchen Episode 7: Fishing on the West Coast
In this episode, I hop on a lobster boat to discover more about lobster fishing on the Swedish west coast. The first lobsters caught in the season will fetch as much as 8 000 Euro per kilo!
I visit the “liveliest Summertown in Sweden”, but now the tourist season is over and the small village of Smogen goes back to its normal self. This is the perfect time to not only taste fresh lobster but also to stop by the local restaurant and try a typical Swedish open salmon sandwich. Inspired by the open sandwich, I make a gravlax poke bowl – a tasty fusion between Hawaiian and Swedish flavours. (p.236)
Back in the cabin, I use the old wood-burning stove to grill lobster to accompany a zingy fresh cabbage and caraway salad. (p.20)
To round off the dishes, I make a sweet treat in the form of white chocolate topped coconut mountains – the are so cute and one of my favourite photos from The Little Swedish Kitchen. They are nutty little mountains and an alternative to a traditional cinnamon bun. (p.266)

Some of the items of clothing you might recognise from previous shows or photoshoots. I’ve listed where I got them from, but there’s a high chance that the items may no longer be in stock.
