May Restaurant Roundup

Here's 8 restaurant recommendations for anyone based in or visiting London. All of these places offer seriously high quality unpretentious food and really special atmospheres. In other words, great food in great places - the reason I absolutely love going out to eat!

The list is in no particular order, it'd be impossible to pick a favourite. I've also added my must orders for each, if you ever do find yourself at any of these fantastic restaurants:

Firebird (@firebird.london) đź“Ť Soho

Try their halloumi with delicate honey, truffles, and sweet strawberries. (invite)

Rambutan (@rambutan_ldn) đź“Ť Borough Market

Definitely order the finger licking good red northern prawn curry with tamarind here.

Poon's Wontoneria (@poons_wontoneria) đź“Ť Soho

It's got to be the springy egg noodles with the juiciest prawn wontons.

Speedboat Bar (@speedboatbar) đź“ŤSoho

Don't miss out on their tongue tingling spicy chicken matches with green mango kerabu.

Jikoni (@jikonilondon) đź“Ť Marylebone

Enjoy the vibrant and flavour bursting crispy aubergine in sichuan caramel. (invite)

Darjeeling Express (@darjeelingldn) đź“Ť Soho

Try out the badami baingan - a rich creamy utterly nutty aubergine curry with a tamarind tang.

Bao (@bao_london) đź“Ť Soho

Order the soft pillow like bao with the crunchy fried chicken - their housemade peanut milk is also very delicious.

German Doner Kebab (@germandonerkebabuk) đź“Ť All over!

A kebab!!

If you get the chance, I hope you enjoy the dishes above as much as I did. And If you have any other restaurant recommendations (whether they're in London or not), I'd love to hear about them!
